Vigdis Gilje Årøen
Vigdis is an artist and maker and is currently running our Open Studio group, she also works for us in Honiton and Exeter with a number of different projects.
Lorna is an extremely experienced and skilled arts and drama leader, working with vulnerable people and families
James has delivered sculpture and arts workshops for us in Exeter and East Devon, mainly creating small scale individual sculpture projects using recycled materials. He has also undertaken some 2D work, such as outdoor murals.
Creative Worker and Choir Leader
Peter has worked in our Honiton project for many years and also runs our weekly choir in Exeter
James has run arts based workshops with young people, carers and those with a learning disability or mental health issue.
Jacky is currently the National Trusts volunteering consultant for the South West Region. She was a volunteer with Magic Carpet about 10 years ago before spending 18 months running a Carers project for us.
Magic Carpet Trustee
Natalie has been a trustee with Magic Carpet since October 2018. She is a mum of two and works for Exeter Cookery School. if that isn't busy enough she has just finished her tenure as a Councillor for Exeter City.

Katie has been a trustee for Magic Carpet since October 2018. She has just finished her Phd in film studies at Exeter University where she has been lecturing.
Judith has been a trustee since 2007, she taught students with disabilities in Further Education colleges for 30 years, until July 2015. She currently run D’Arts a small local charity that offers creative experiences to people with a learning disability. She has a wide experience of adults with learning disabilities and of drama and movement practices.
Jess has worked for Magic Carpet in arts centres, fields, schools, day centres, hospitals and many venues too numerous to mention.

Honiton Project Worker
Fran is the project worker in Honiton and is an experienced creative worker
Tracey first joined Magic Carpet in 2004 as a volunteer. She now runs two regular drama groups - the Thurspians in Exeter and the Exmouth Extraordinary Theatre Company (EETC) in Exmouth.
Giles is an author and artist whose day job is as creative director, copywriter and strategic marketeer for Chalk & Ward, the South West’s largest independent branding and marketing agency. With a passion for how the arts can really enhance lives he has come on board to help spread the word about the amazing work Magic Carpet do!
Von has been a trustee of Magic Carpet since 2010. She works in financial management and has lots of experience in voluntary sector infrastructure development work.
Sarah is Occupational Therapist and a mental health trainer, she passionately supports the use of the arts in working positively with people.
Daisy works on family liaisons at a special needs school and is passionate about creating good relationships that engage people in their communities.
